BOrder line personality Disorder ?

NOt split personality but personality disorder how do you control and cope with it? so that your not spasing everytime something goes wrong in life
Answer:
Psychotherapy. This is the core treatment for BPD. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) was designed specifically to treat the disorder. Generally conducted through individual, group and phone counseling, DBT uses a skills-based approach to teach people how to regulate their emotions, tolerate distress and improve relationships.
Medications. Medications can't cure BPD, but they can help associated problems, such as depression, impulsivity and anxiety. Medications may include antidepressant, antipsychotic and antianxiety medications.
Hospitalization. At times, people with BPD may need more intense treatment in a psychiatric hospital or clinic. Hospitalization can also keep them safe from self-injury.

Other things you can do to help manage your condition and feel better about yourself include:

Sticking to your treatment plan
Attending therapy sessions as scheduled
Practicing healthy ways to ease painful emotions, rather than inflicting self-injury
Not blaming yourself for having the disorder but recognizing your responsibility to get it treated
Learning what things may trigger angry outbursts or impulsive behavior
Not being embarrassed by having this condition
Getting treatment for related problems, such as substance abuse
Educating yourself about the disorder so you understand its causes and treatments better
Reaching out to others with the disorder to share insights and experiences
Seek help from a professional trained in Dilectical Behavioral Therapy. This has been one of the most effective treatments for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Good luck!
The border line personality disorder is difficult to treat. I need to know why you think you have it. Was a diagnosis made by a professional mental health worker or, best of all by a clinical psychologist or a psychiatrist, who does his/her work as a psychotherapist and who also can medicate the condition? Spacing out is not usually a condition nor is going into psychosis either. It may be a defense against symptoms. You need to get professional advice. I can't answer the question with what you have given here. I would like to help but can't.
You need to get help from a psychiatrist and a counsellor to learn to cope with it. I have heard that cognative behavioral therapy is good for it. There is a book called the feeling good handbook by burns and it is a book about CBT.
you mentioned very complex situation... borderline personality disorder can not have a consensus what it is or how it is... Many times can be used confused diagnostic approaches and so this concept (BPD) is called a basket or rubbish... because we can throw easily many difficulties while getting a decision for diagnosis.maybe the reason of the behavioral pattern is that BPD has many features and very large concepts were used to describe it. A few certain criteria can be mentioned but for an effective therapy these criteria are not enough.. life style, stress factors, family and social environments must be investigated extremely... family or close social persons can help treatment.. long and stable psychotherapy is needed... some drugs SSRI s and low dose anti psychotics can be useful... my personal approach is that some new psychotherapies can be seen in Internet very often, have not so big effect on BPD improvement. at least as expected that they have very rapid consequences..
